Freestyle
Learning intentions:
WALT: blow bubbles (breathing)
Roll your head out every three strokes
Start the head roll when arm stroke is
parallel with chest.
Progression

WALT: Keep our heads down. (good body
position)

Common issues
Bent knees – try kick on their backs with a
board towards knees (don’t have the knees touch)
Swimming crooked – go back to a board,
practise kick again and arm stroke not going over the centre line of the body.
Breathing- take a small breath- ping pong
balls
WALT: stand up after being on your back.
Tuck your chin in, feet down.
WALT: breath during backstroke
